Cold fingers..

October 26th, 2005 by honkytonks

Mayb people didn’t find the previous post as amusing as I did. oh well. :P

So, i’m desperately waiting for my 18th birthday. This means:

I can drink legally
I can get a contract phone
I can get a proper bank account

I could get a phone if I desperately wanted.. but it’d cost so much i must be stupid to do so. I’d rather wait a few weeks. It’s coming soon. :D

I fell asleep in the lecture theatre today. It wasn’t the most interesting.. I hope I wasn’t the only one, but it was v. difficult to stay awake. and I was sitting quite near the front. :P but in university… the lecturer doesnt care :P

My fingers are feeling cold, and it’s hard to type..

Listening to: The Non-Prophets (Atheist Community of Austin) - Episode 4.17 (This is a podcast, not a song)

Today was a VERY GOOD DAY! HAHAHAHA! When was the last time you people saw me this enthusiastic about life eh? =P

Anyway, here’s a musical meme I found on a friend’s blog; the idea is to go through the first twenty-five songs that you’ve set on random on your iTunes/ Media Player/ Real Player playlist, write ‘em down, and at the end of every song, insert "in my pants."

so here are my twenty-five..:

The Dears - The Second Part in my pants
Coldplay - The Scientist in my pants
Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight Tonight in my pants
Placebo - The Bitter End in my pants
Placebo - Come Home in my pants
Blur - There’s No Other Way in my pants
Pearl Harbour OST - And Then I Kissed Him in my pants
Gin Blossoms - Hey Jealousy in my pants
Death Cab for Cutie - Title And Registration in my pants
Placebo - Special Needs in my pants
Craig David - Time to Party in my pants
Placebo - English Summer Rain in my pants
Blur - Charmless Man in my pants
In Flames - Man Made God in my pants
Placebo - Twenty Years in my pants
Bomfunk MCs - Turn It Up in my pants
Renee Olstead - A Love That Will Last in my pants
Elton John - The Way You Look Tonight in my pants
Bloc Party - Tulips in my pants
Interpol - Slow Hands in my pants
Damien Rice - The Blower’s Daughter in my pants
Dido - Here With Me in my pants
Goo Goo Dolls - Big Machine in my pants
The Darkness - Love Is Only a Feeling in my pants
The Dears - We Can Have It in my pants

how kinky, it’s so funny.

If you read this, and u find the 25 funny, go to the comments section and do your very own! :P

I’m loving liverpool right now. :D but it’s getting a bit cold..

Listening to: The Cure - A Letter to Elise

Today, i suffered accidental nicotine poisoning.. It was horrific. If you wish to know the symptoms, you can find some information if you google it.

I started sweating, and in this cold weather, my shirt got drenched in sweat and I felt nauseous and felt like pukin and nearly collapsed.. and so, I allowed myself to skip a lecture..

Still feeling the aftereffects: my stomach is feeling queasy, still slightly dizzy… but oh well.

I collected my new glasses today! YAY! finally, proper vision in the lecture theatre… u know they are so big, u can’t see the presentation if you’re sitting near the back.

Today, on the way back from lecture, i witnessed a street fight on the streets of liverpool… well, it was a street fight for a short while, like 5min. Lots and lots of taunting and so on.. there were 2 groups present, with 2 guys shouting and shoving, trying to punch, and the 2 groups managed to pull these 2 guys apart… but it was still interesting.

It’s natural to behave like this isn’t it? All other animals do it. The males fight, to show off dominance and win over the females, mark their territory, etc.. while the fight was going on, there were loads and loads of spectators, watching with much interest, me included of course. Everyone keeps their distance of course. Humans like to watch other humans hurt each other but don’t want to get involved..

Why restrain ourselves when nature wants us to be savages? Too intelligent to be savages? Lol, too snobbish to be savages :P

The concept of Entropy is very interesting..

this is a good song..

Barefoot..

Listening to: Incubus - Summer Romance

Something must be wrong with the world, if you’re told in the middle of a BSc Physiology module, learning about the Chemical Principles of Life, that the universe is designed so that it tends towards more and more disorder… lol.

In scientific terms of course. But more and more disorder? hmmm scary. It’s in a human being’s nature to be cruel isn’t it? There are countless people who laugh at other people who lets say fall down, or do something silly by accident.. and people always chuckle when they see a minor accident on the road… etc. hmm

i didn’t go to the lecture starting at 9 today, coz i had quite a stomach ache… well it’s gone now. so i’ll go to the other lecture today later.

They tested the fire alarm in my hall today. at 6.30am… I went out, in boxers and a sweater and barefoot… I knew nothing of this beforehand, and woke up, thinking someone’s REALLY loud alarm has not been turned off. :P

And then we had to stand outside in the cold… SO COLD! Bad idea coming out in sweater/boxers/barefoot combination.. i didn’t think we had to stay out too long you see.. but some people decided to take their time in coming out, which meant that everyone had to wait outside until everyone was out of the building..

It was so cold I thought I was dying… and I’ve been up ever since and i’m really really tired…

back to work… bye bye

LAUNDRY! ARGH!

Listening to: Radiohead - Thinking About You

I find this guy, the Marquis De Sade, absolutely fascinating…

His name, was where the word "Sadism" originated from..

Ah, don’t worry, i’m anything but a Sadist =P

fascinating indeed….

I still haven’t done my laundry…

Listening to: The Subways - Milk

Ooh yay, the Subways are coming to Liverpool in november… but i don’t think i’ll be going to watch them.. :S need to save money.

I spend a shitload today.. of all things, my bloody specs had to break on the way here… don’t ask about how that happened.. but hell! they’re so expensive here!! $why couldn’t my… useless phone break or something.. (for those who don’t know me or don’t know about my phone, my phone is LITERALLY useless. the screen doesn’t work, which means i can’t read messages, and can’t see what numbers i’m typing, the keyboard is screwed up and it’s on roaming, so i can’t call, and my credit is running out anyway..)

I completed my placebo CD collection today!! the final instalment cost me 6 quid.. so it’s nothing extravagant or anything. :P The final CD was Placebo, Once More With Feeling, Singles 1996-2004.. yeah, they’ve been around a long time eh? I want them to succeed in places other than Europe… :S nobody knows them in Asia, or at least, Msia, and it’s very disappointing. oh well.

I don’t mind the band Deadsy… but the song "Itsy Bitsy Titsy" is a bit too much no? In my opinion… that song crosses the line. It’s way too graphic and… paedophilic :S.

I will do laundry tomorrow morning..

Listening to: The Dears - The Second Part

I absolutely love this song… can’t get enough of it, this song plays in my head everytime i walk to class..

Two days have passed
And all I want is to feel better
They won’t be back
And a long weekend is coming up
I left the house
It was just to see you
For an hour
Hoping for two

I was short of breath
As I passed the doorman for a second time
And it rained all day
I don’t have a raincoat of my own
I then arrived
Ten minutes early with no smokes
And I was broke
Without a smoke

All of the time
I thought I was crazy ‘cos you told me so
It was profound
Like the piano I was humbled by
Our tongues may have touched
But all I remember was your nose
And I suppose
Our eyes were closed

Two days have passed
And all I want is gone
For good this time

I’m now in the UK… specifically, in Liverpool. Due to my late arrival, everything is a little bit messed up. I’m 3 weeks behind in terms of work, i don’t know how i’m going to catch up…

The people are alright, but because i’m late, everyone’s formed their own cliques, got their own group of friends, and i’m finding it a little challenging, forcing myself into one. perhaps this is a blessing in disguise, i’ll spend less time socialising and more time studying… :S

there is so much stuff to fill out! paperwork! ARGH!!! i don’t like banks, i don’t like insurance companies and various other things now :P

bye.

time to buka puasa…

Listening to: The Dears - The Second Part

Damn… my knee hurts like hell… i dunno why.

It is now 5 something in the morning in JB.. I have stayed up the whole night so that i can sleep on the plane, because i often have trouble sleeping with those bloody loud engines on the side… and this has led, to me being very very hungry… still many many hours till the flight, i must start getting ready to totally absolutely finally finalise the packing.. just check that i haven’t missed out anything and stuff like that..

I’ll see many of my old friends in the UK, quite glad i’d finally got my visa done.. By the way… BLOC PARTY ARE PLAYING IN LIVERPOOL SOON!!! hahahaha!

I don’t feel sleepy at all… mayb my parents are right.. my bloody body clock is severely messed up :S.
